GOVERNMENT GENERAL DEGREE COLLEGE, MANGALKOTE

Collegiate Student Grievance Redressal Committee
According to the UGC Guidelines 2019, the Grievance Redressal Cell, in colleges across India, has been renamed as “Collegiate Student Grievance Redressal Committee” (CSGRC). The details of these new UGC guidelines can be found in the college website. As is apparent from the new name the scope and purpose of the CSGRC has expanded significantly from its previous area. The Head of the Institution/Principal presides over the main functioning of the Committee and is also responsible for coordination among the members of the Committee. Government General Degree College, Mangalkote as a team is dedicated to securing a healthy and sound academic atmosphere under the principles of care, fairness, quick redressal and widespread awareness about our rights and responsibilities.

The CSGRC under the able guidance of the Officer-in-Charge is dedicated to maintaining discipline while taking proper note of the grievance application received (corresponding to those areas specified by the UGC Regulations, 2019) from the students (both present and immediate pass-out students and those who seek to take admission in the near future). The HOI along with the CSGRC then take all necessary steps to address those grievances in a time bound, efficient, and logical manner, all the while being empathetic to the sensitivity of some issues.

Till now the college has been able to redress properly or has sought to redress most of the grievance application received on a variety of issues. The grievances have been mostly received in form of letters, but the college also has the provision where the students can mail their grievances to the Email Id: ggdcm.grievanceredressal@gmail.com

  1. Government General Degree College, Mangalkote believes that the most important task is to make the students aware of their rights to voice their grievances. They must not hesitate to come forward with their rational and rightful complaints.

  3. Along with the CSGRC, the Anti-Ragging Committee, the Visakha Cell and the Women’s Cell are working together as a group, where the students can place their grievances regarding any academic needs, any mental or sexual harassment complaints, any complaint about the basic needs like food, water, electricity, classroom facilities, ramps, sporting equipment and so on and so forth.
